Thursdays Rule

The weekend arrived early at the Railway Club (apart from the blokes who were working next day, sorry chaps), and Acorns filled their collective boots. Good scoring across the board saw the highest total of the season so far, and Rich Hall laying to rest a ghost or 10. All added up to a comfortable and much needed win after three losses on the trot.

Front Pin 7th December

No, it's not this coming Wednesday!

Out of the Man v Man

Another Wednesday free as Acorns went out of the Man v Man on Wednesday night at the Military Club. Ramblers had a two man advantage and won comfortably in the end.

Mid-week Mayhem

Yes, it's that week

Wednesday (23rd) is Man V Man at the Military Club (v Ramblers)
Thursday (24th) is the league game at the G.W.R.S.A Club (v Herefordians)

Christmas Comes Early

The traditional post Christmas slump looks like it's come early as Acorns lost another at home, though once again the total was one of the highest in the division on the night. Bugger.

I wasn't actually there, so you can/can't blame me (delete as applicable)

Mr Ruck's Tache

Erstwhile Acorn Antony Ruck is taking part in Movember this year, his page can be found at:

and I'm sure any donations would be much appreciated by the big fella.

Away Loss

Our favourite alley lets us down (any alley other than the Plough on recent form), and Acorns slip to their first away defeat of the season by what, in the end, was a fairly narrow margin.

Can Of Whup-Ass

Couldn't really be called a collapse because we started poorly and carried on from there. Solid scoring from Woodpeckers didn't make the final score pretty.
